Engaged!!

Two weeks ago yesterday, Eric Taylor became my fiance!!! Wow, I love being able to say those words!!! Fiance! During Spring Break (March 5-12) I went with Eric and his whole family to the beautiful island of Kauia, Hawaii. The whole week was amazing and it was made perfect on Tuesday. Eric and I went on a date Tueday night. We started it out by going to a place called Spouting Horn about 10 minutes away from our hotel. It's a place where the lava rock has been worn down by the waves and has made a hole in the rock. Everytime the waves come in this is the result:

There were sea turtles surfing in the waves, the sun was shining, Eric has his arms around me.... Mmm it was amazing :D After about 45 minutes we decided to head of the the restaurant that Eric had made reservations. It was called The Beach House. The seats were all situated facing the beach and had amazing views of the sunset. Once we got situated and dinner ordered, the restaruant photographer came around and offered to take pictures of us with the sunset in the background. I thought it would be cute but maybe not necessary, but Eric knew something I didn't and we agreed to get our picture taken.

And no, this is not a backdrop. That is really what we were standing behind. Gorgeous!!! Well, sometime after dinner, when the sun was setting, our conversation turned to how we met, our journey together, and where we are headed. Suddenly, Eric is digging for something in his pocket and before I know it, he is down on one knee and asking me to marry him! Of course I said yes!!!!!!!

Shortly after Eric proposed, the photographer came around to bring us the print of our sunset picture. She sees the ring box still on the table and says," DID YOU GUYS JUST GET ENGAGED??" Smiling, we both said yes, and she procedes to take us in front of the restaurant and take some more pictures of us (which she sent to us that evening, thank you Beach House photographer!!!!) The ring and the ring box. So sweet and beautiful!!!

Crazy right? It was beautiful, and I'll admit, it was a complete suprise. I love Eric so much and look forward to spending eternity with him!!! We are getting married July 9th in the Bountiful, Utah Temple!!!!! I love you Eric!!!
